Overview:
The series begins in 52 BC. e., when Gaius Julius Caesar conquers Gaul after an eight-year war and prepares to return to Rome. Caesar’s niece Atia is anxiously awaiting his return, patrician desperate - they fear that Caesar’s return will violate the status quo, that the well-being that they built through the plebs will be undermed. In the Senate, the leaders of the patrician party convince Caesar’s old friend, Pompey the Great that Caesar became a threat to the prosperity of Rome. At this time, two unlucky legionnaires, Lucius Varen and Tit Pulo, embark on a gamble, which, if successful, will significantly increase their well-being. The closer Caesar's legions move to Rome, the greater the tension between soldiers and civilians, the closer to the denouement is the conflict that will forever change history ...;
