DW-TV

DW-TV – the official foreign television channel of the German broadcasting station DW . The programs broadcast are transmitted via satellite. The channel officially launched on April 1, 1992. Its goal is to transmit as much information about the Federal Republic of Germany as possible beyond German borders.

 The largest part consists of news, documentaries and magazines, broadcast every hour alternately in German and English . Two hours a day are devoted to broadcasting programs in Spanish , and three (via the Nilesat satellite ) to programs in Arabic . DW-TV can be accessed via the following satellites: Hot Bird 6 , Intelsat707 , GE-1 , NSS-K , PAS 5 , ASIASAT2 , and also in digital version via the ASTRA satellite.
